50,000 SIGN UP TO (SACRAMENTO) – The Honorable Howard Kaloogian (Member, California State Assembly 1994-200), Chairman of the Recall Gray Davis Committee (www.RecallGrayDavis.com), today announced that the Recall Gray Davis Committee has signed up over 50,000 Californians to sign and distribute Recall Gray Davis petitions. “Since we launched the Recall Gray Davis effort approximately one month ago, we have signed up OVER 50,000 people both to sign and circulate recall petitions. Never before has there been so much intensity for a movement of ordinary citizens to ban together to improve California in modern times,” Kaloogian declared. During this period the Recall Gray Davis website, www.RecallGrayDavis.com, has registered well over 2,500,000 “hits.” The surge in traffic to the website has come from promotion by talk radio shows, print and electronic media, “word of mouth” and “e-marketing” of our regular Recall Gray Davis update emails. “It makes me proud to see the dedication of our supporters to making California better by helping make this recall effort successful. People are forwarding our Recall Gray Davis email updates on to all of their mailing lists. The result is that we have thousands of new supporters signing up to distribute recall petitions each and every day. “This recall effort will be the first time in California history that the Internet, talk radio and the grass roots will all come together for a common political purpose. Not only will Gray Davis be recalled, but we will be doing it in a history-making way,” Kaloogian concluded.
